For Asperger’s/autistic students, recess can be a time of great frustration or loneliness due to lack of structure. Ask the teacher to assist in the involvement of unstructured social games others are playing. A good teacher can both encourage an Asperger’s/autistic student to join a group and encourage the others to welcome a special needs student to play also.
