The secret that leads to achieving many educational goals is persistence.
MCAS Schedule for June 2011
The high school science portion of the MCAS test will take place on both June 1st and 2nd. The test will be 2 sessions each lasting approximately 60 minutes. The student can choose between biology, chemistry, introductory physics and technology/engineering. The science MCAS test subject is usually issued based on the type of science that the student is currently taking in school.
One important thing to note is once a high school student passes any ONE of the MCAS science tests, they will never have to take another one again. The state of Massachusetts requires that only one of the science tests be passed in order to graduate high school. This also means a student does not have to make up a failed test the next year. For example if a student fails the physics MCAS test, they don’t have to make up that subject the next year. They could re-take the physics MCAS test or take the chemistry MCAS test the next year. If they were to fail again, the student could re-take the chemistry MCAS test or take the Biology MCAS test instead. If they were to fail again, the student would have the option of taking any of the four science MCAS tests in their senior year of high school.
Math Tutoring – Y3K Tutor In Your Home
For math there is always more than one way to get the right answer. Students need the flexibility to use whatever methods work for them. Schools often use certain programs and texts that will only teach one method. Some students get left behind simply because the method the school is using doesn’t work for the individual. It is best to teach all the different ways of solving a problem and then allowing the student to use the method that is easiest for them. Y3K Tutor In Your Home teaches all of the different ways of obtaining the correct answer. This way the student can choose from many options to find what makes sense to them.

MCAS Tutor
High school students will get at least 4 opportunities to pass the MCAS test. For math and English, they have the opportunity to take the tests once in 10th grade, twice in 11th grade and once in 12th grade. We can help students get ready for these tests and have helped many pass. It is never too early to begin preparation. Never wait until the last minute to start.
MCAS – Elementary & Middle School
For elementary and middle school students, tell them the MCAS scores do not matter. That will reduce the amount of MCAS testing anxiety.
They should be aware that even if they got every MCAS question wrong, the results will not be reflected on their report cards or ability to move on to the next grade. As a result of this knowledge, students will have less stress and have improved test scores.
MCAS Tutor Test Advice
The MCAS test is always untimed. Students must work at their own pace no matter how long or how many days it takes to finish the test.
