The MCAS test is always untimed. Students must work at their own pace no matter how long or how many days it takes to finish the test.

The MCAS math test will be issued throughout the month of May. All high school students must pass the math, English and science to graduate.

The math and science portions of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System better known as the MCAS test, will be given throughout the month of May. The schedule is as follows:

Math

Grades 3-8 May 10 – May 26
Grade 10 May 17-May 18

The elementary and middle school math MCAS test will be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 50 minutes. The high school math MCAS test will also be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 60+ minutes.

Science

Grades 5 & 8 May 11-May 26

For grades 5 and 8 the science MCAS test will be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 45 minutes.
