Y3K Tutor In Your Home proudly donates tutoring to Newton, MA’s Mason-Rice Elementary School Annual Fools’ Folly Spring Auction again this year. With your bid on our tutoring services, you and Y3K Tutor In Your Home are supporting the well being of over 435 children. The money raised will be crucial funding for these Newton students.

The money raised will allow the Mason-Rice Elementary School’s PTO to continue to run enrichment programs such as special author visits, science programs, supplies for teachers, professional development, provide technology to be used in the classroom, and other worthwhile programs.

Newton, MA November 2011 MCAS Retest Schedule

The MCAS English Language Arts (ELA) and Math retests are scheduled for mid November in Newton, MA. These tests will only be issued to 11th or 12th grade students that have received a failing or needs improvement score on their previous MCAS tests starting in 10th grade. If a student has previously passed one of the two subjects, they will only have to take one retest in the failing subject.

The high school math MCAS test will also be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 60+ minutes. Watch for the Y3K Tutor In Your Home gift certificates at the annual Mason Rice Elementary School fundraiser. The money raised will go towards the students of Newton, MA. They plan on using the money we raise for technology purchases, art and science programming, educational support staff development and classroom supplies. New this year they are using some of the money raised by Y3K Tutor In Your Home and other donors, to start a New Playground Fund. This would go toward replacing the Mason Rice Elementary School’s 20 year old wooden playground. The children living in Newton, MA would be grateful for a large turnout so that the new playground will become a reality.
