For Weston Public Schools in Weston, MA the previous policy was to have all school doors locked except for the front door. Their new policy is to have all doors locked including the front door. They also have plans to install either buzzers or cameras in the coming weeks.

U.S. News and World Report released their annual list of best high schools across the country and Weston High School in Weston, MA is near the top of the list. Weston High School was ranked 5th best high school in Massachusetts and the 132nd best high school in the United States. They also received a gold metal rating.

According to the U.S. News and World Report website, Weston High School ranks in the 94% proficiency in English and the 94% proficiency in math. Students have the option to take Advanced Placement courses and exams. The AP participation rate at Weston High School is 79%.

Boston magazine recently named Weston High School the best public high school in the Metro West area. Schools were judged on graduation rates, student-teacher ratios, extracurricular opportunities, and academic performances on the MCAS, SATs, and AP exams, which were considered the most important factors, according to the magazine. They point out that Weston High School has a 95.6% graduation rate and 98% of its students go on to college. Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee’s (WEEFC) Annual Autumn Auction

Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee’s (WEEFC’s) Annual Autumn Auction will take place this year on Saturday, October 20 at 6:00 pm. Again Y3K Tutor In Your Home will be donating free tutoring to this important Weston fundraising auction that is being held at the Rivers School. Besides the auction, this event will feature cocktails, dinner, and dancing. All proceeds from this event will be used to fund enrichment programming benefiting each and every student in the Weston Public Schools pre-K through grade 12.
