Fragile Egos
Some kids have fragile egos and are ashamed when forced to speak to the whole class. Stuttering, slow reading and math issues get spotlighted. Check with the teacher to make sure this doesn’t happen.

Teach your children not to give out personal info online including Twitter and Facebook. Tell them about the dangers of on-line predators.
Parenting
If you want your kids to not drink, smoke, do drugs, use foul language, be racist or sexist, then you must not do these behaviors yourself.
