10th Annual Animal Rescue League of Boston Collection Drive

The animals need your help. You can make a difference for the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s animal shelters. Please help Y3K Tutor In Your Home aid abused and stray animals. You will have the opportunity to help dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and others. Please donate old or new towels, blankets, office supplies, and animal toys. Items will be picked up at your home between NOVEMBER 1, 2012 and JANUARY 1, 2013.

Please also tell all of your neighbors, friends and family. We will pick up from anyone regardless if they use our tutoring or not. We will be picking up items located in Brookline, Dover, Natick, Needham, Newton, Sudbury, Wayland, Wellesley, and Weston MA. There will also be drop off locations for those living outside of these towns conveniently located in Natick and Needham, MA.

Newton Harvest Fair – Children’s Cooperative Nursery School

The Children’s Cooperative Nursery School in Newton, MA will be having their annual fall fundraiser on Sunday October 14th at the Newton Harvest Fair. This will be a silent auction taking place on the Newton Centre Green. When attending the auction, be sure to bid on the Y3K Tutor In Your Home tutoring that will be up for grabs. By participating, we hope to help three and four year old children and their families from the Newton area. This fundraiser ensures that the children of families needing financial support will be able to enjoy the important experience of preschool education. Money raised from the Y3K Tutor In Your Home auction donation and other items will help defray the tuition costs for families who are less able to pay.

Y3K Tutor In Your Home proudly donates tutoring to Newton, MA’s Mason-Rice Elementary School Annual Fools’ Folly Spring Auction again this year. With your bid on our tutoring services, you and Y3K Tutor In Your Home are supporting the well being of over 435 children. The money raised will be crucial funding for these Newton students.

The money raised will allow the Mason-Rice Elementary School’s PTO to continue to run enrichment programs such as special author visits, science programs, supplies for teachers, professional development, provide technology to be used in the classroom, and other worthwhile programs.

The math and science portions of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System better known as the MCAS test, will be given throughout Newton, MA during the month of May. The elementary and middle school math MCAS test will be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 50 minutes. The high school math MCAS test will also be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 60+ minutes.
